NeMa 2010 - Malta
Sectech participated in the annual NeMa event which was held in Malta this year.
The event (8th-10th of June) was attended by over 250 Custody professionals from around the world. Sectech had a stall and as usual attracted a lot of visitors.

Middle East Securities Forum 2010
Sectech is one of the sponsors of the “Middle East Securities Forum 2010”. The conference will take place in Doha, Qatar from the 22nd to the 24th of March.
Sectech will be participating in this event as an exhibitor.

Global Custodian Securities Services Hall of Fame
Khalid Mukhtar (Director, Sectech), was inducted into the Global Custodian Securities Services Hall of Fame, for his oustanding contribution to the development of the Securities Services Industry.

Custody 2000 Workshop
Sectech organised a Custody 2000 workshop in a Nairobi Hotel for Barclays regional custody operations in June, 2009. The two days workshop was attended by regional operational management, Kenyan Custody team and representative from Barclays in Mauritius.

NeMa 2009
Sectech participated, as an exhibitor, in NeMa 2009 conference in Ljubljana, the Capital of Slovenia at Grand Union Hotel from the 9th of June to the 12th of June.

The event was organised by IIR Ltd., and was attended by over 250 securities industry professionals from around the world. Other exhibitors included HSBC, Thomas Murray, Clearstream and UniCredit

Global Custodian Awards
Global Custodian Magazine had their yearly awards ceremony on the 19th of March 2009 at the Dorchester hotel in London.

The Gala Dinner was attended by over 250 custody professionals from around the world. Barclays Bank, a client of Sectech in 8 countries, received several awards including the “Best Custodian in the region” award.

Euromoney Kenya Conference

Sectech participated in “Euromoney Kenya Conference” in Nairobi on the 24th of March 2009.

The conference was held at the Laico Regency Hotel. The president of the republic of Kenya Hon. Mwai Kibaki and the Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga were present at the official opening of the conference.

Sub-Saharan African Securities Summit
Sectech sponsored a conference entitled “Sub-Saharan African Securities Summit” at a London hotel on the 4th of December, 2008.

Representatives from Standard Bank of South Africa, London Stock Exchange, First Bank of Nigeria PLC, Thomas Murray Ltd, Central Depository & Settlement Co. Ltd (Mauritius), SWIFT, United Bank for Africa PLC, STRATE (South Africa) and many other organisations attended the conference

Sectech 10th Anniversary!
Sectech celebrated its 10th year in business on 17th July 2008.
